We sat down with Amanda Baldwin, CEO of Supergoop! to talk all things career, summer skincare, and, of course, shoes. Check out our conversation below.

Q: How did you get started in your career?

I actually started my career on Wall Street as an investment banker, investing in consumer brands. I had an ah-ha moment and thought "Everybody on the other side of the table was having all the fun," which led me to a career in the beauty industry.

Q: What makes you the most excited about your job?

So many things! I love product and I love marketing. I love our team and the opportunity to give people a stretch of their career that's once in a lifetime. And, I love getting up every morning knowing that we're making the world a better place.

Q: What makes you feel the most confident?

A great pair of shoes and a great blowout!

Q: What are three items that you must pack for a summer vacation?

Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!

Q: What does the perfect self-care day look like for you?

One thing that I love to do is spend time with my family. I get re-energized by spending time with them and with my friends. Any time I'm traveling, I'll try to carve out an hour to escape to something that the city is known for, like a museum or something cultural—I really enjoy that.
