"HER KIND OF LOVE"

As a music journalist and a music reviewer I guess, I am a very lucky guy. Why I say this I always thought that others got all the breaks, however, after being humbled and incredibly honored to write all my music reviews for all the guys & gals that I have written for. not bragging, but I am now at 160 and counting and how very blessed and "lucky". As I was stating how honored to write all my reviews, this one really cuts the cake. I am proud to have the true blessing of writing about this tremendous talented young lady, her name is a famous name, well atleast her last name, I am speaking of Miss. Heidi Parton, yes the same blood of the world famous Dolly Parton, this is her niece. As I read her bio and her debut album called This Kind of Love" and amazing she sings from her heart and this album is full of her heart and feels, smells & rubs every ounce of Heidis love on you as you listen to this tremendous and really enjoyable music album. The album starts off with a song called 'Think About Love" where as you know her Aunt did this song, however Heidi takes her approach on the song and she adds that feel of heartfelt emotion throughout the song. Most of you know I am not one for covers of songs but Heidi just makes puts her unique flare and vocal range on the song. With the next song Heidi does a Dusty Springfield song called "Son of A preacher Man" and Heidi brings on her real bluesy gruff vocals to this and makes this song come alive and was really enjoyable. As the album moves to the next track called ""Baby I Love You" Heidi brings that almost Aretha Franklin sound to the speakers and rings in the sound a real 60's vibe to it and was most enjoyable. "Turning to You" Heidi brings in that old flavor of country where fiddles are pickin' away and Heidi brings in her heart flavored vocals and has a smooth sounding and I really liked it. Starting the next track is a song that is a really special song that actually cemented my love of the late Roy Orbison, the song is one of his last recordings of his musical career, with that being said Heidi brings her approach and new life to the song, You Got It" and once again I'm not into cover songs, but in this case Heidi makes the exception and serves the late Roy Orbison total justice & I loved it a whole lot. With the next song this really showcases Heidi and her real from the heart vocals and once again as I eluded to singing from the heart and this song in my opinion is a number one song already. The next song is a cover of one of those eighties bands, but written by prolific songwriter Diane Warren and Heidi puts her spin on it, called "Nothings gonna Stop Us Now" and is one of those songs that just make you feel good all over & under. "Stand Beside Me" has that sound that is a song that is with you, and Heidi shows her side, of story telling in music and that is quite nice to hear that story telling through music is still here, and Heidi shows her way through with this wonderful song. The next song is a song that I feel is pertinent to my own personal life and I already enjoy the music of the writer Steve Perry from Journey fame. The song is called "Foolish Heart" where Heidi, comes across superbly and keeps that feeling and emotional attachment that I have of the song. "I am Ready" rings true to the Parton blood and with this song Heidi really serves the family well. A very spiritually based song and Heidi really shows her vocal range and makes the song a really beautiful memory that stays with you. With the last song called 'Circle Of Love", which is a "Christmas song" however, Heidi really pours on the emotion and the real flavor of her love brought me to tears and is a beautiful song that I have always enjoyed, since I am a true fan of the writer of this particular song, Dolly. My Many thanks to Heidi and her most wonderful gift of voice and music and her incredible friendship and this incredible album and I look forward to hearing her on the radio with her tremendous talent and he incredible and beautiful vocal arrangements.
