HENSOLDT Newsflash – September 2023

Without a doubt, DSEI in London was the most important September event for HENSOLDT. In addition, there were other exciting developments for us in all domains, in space and air as well as in the marine and land domain.

Supplying power amplifiers for NATO data link

HENSOLDT T received a follow-up order from the American L3Harris Technologies (formerly Viasat) for the delivery of high-performance electronics that will optimise NATO data links and thus the networking of individual troop units. The contract covers a further 100 power amplifiers for the MIDS LVT data radio system of NATO troops of all branches. Since the first order in 2003, HENSOLDT has thus supplied approximately 4,500 power amplifiers for the MIDS programme. Learn more here.

Start of apprenticeship 2023

More than 80 trainees and students have started the new training year at the HENSOLDT T sites in Ulm, Immenstaad, Oberkochen and Wetzlar. Delivering first flight unit for earth observation satellite to OHB

HENSOLDT delivers the first flight unit for an earth observation satellite to OHB SE, which will provide images with an extremely high level of detail. The main component is a large telescope, for which we are constructing a total of four mirrors of different sizes. Learn more here.

HENSOLDT provides US Coast Guard with naval radars

HENSOLDT is equipping the US Coast Guard’s “Legend” class National Security Cutter (NSC) with its proven TRS-3D multi-mode naval radar. The US Coast Guard awarded us a follow-on contract worth approximately 10 Mio. $ to deliver a further radar in its latest ‘Baseline D’ version to be installed at the Coast Guard training center (TRACEN) in Petaluma/CA.
