Partnering with Starburst for FCAS start-up accelerator
HENSOLDT and Starburst have announced the launch of their #FCAS accelerator. The programme invites start-ups from NATO and allied countries to propose ideas for highly disruptive sensors. The objective of the accelerator is to create an ecosystem targeted to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) as well as start-ups to develop dual-use and defence applications for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
To apply, interested companies are invited to provide their information until September 10, 2023.
Twinvis passive radar available as deployable variant
HENSOLDT has developed a new version of its #Twinvis passive radar, which is now being launched in a fully integrated shelter variant for military use as "Twinvis Military Sheltered". So far, #Twinvis has been available as a set-up kit for integration by the customer. A specially established production line at the German site in Ulm enables the prompt call-off of systems in order to meet the requirements of existing and interested customers at short notice.

Safe integration of drones into airspace is getting closer
HENSOLDT is taking the development of its collision warning system for civil and military drones to a new level. The demonstrator study for a "detect-and-avoid radar" – commissioned by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) – enables a further step towards the safe integration of drones into controlled airspace.
Strategic collaboration with ERA for passive advanced air-surveillance and air-defence
HENSOLDT and ERA, a.s. have announced their strategic partnership to drive the advancement of passive air surveillance and defence capabilities. This collaboration is a response to the recent conflicts in Europe, emphasizing the need for cutting-edge technologies to enhance national and European security.
The main objective is to jointly offer an integrated infrastructure solution by combining ERA′s passive ESM tracker VERA-NG and our passive coherent locator #Twinvis. Through this combination, a completely passive air picture can be created.
