4m video views, over half a million YouTube live stream views, live coverage on BT Sport and nearly 500 broadcast news stories. One of our most successful activations for Henley Royal Regatta saw coverage of this prestigious event up year-on-year across all platforms.

For Sunset+Vine, Henley is a coveted event. We have been the host broadcast provider since 2015, and recently, have added the social and digital partnership and the overall press operation to our services. It’s a 360-degree service that sees synergies between our production team, our social content team, and our press team where we work to a collective editorial goal that benefits the storytelling and the cross-fertilisation of stories and content.

Sunset+Vine had a team of 85 on site for the six-day regatta at the end of June, 8 of whom were working with Henley’s team on streaming and social content, and 10 were running the press operation that accredited nearly 150 onsite media. The rest provided daily live coverage on YouTube and for BT Sport, as well as a daily highlights show uploaded to YouTube and broadcast on BT Sport.

At the heart of the operation, the media management team collated all of the video and stills content and made it available to all platform stakeholders. The broadcast executive producer, and the press editorial lead, collaborated on stories and strands as well as shaping the daily press release and video news release into a multiplatform text/stills/video document, that was fired off to a database of over 3,500 contacts worldwide.
