Hendrik Reisch: Navigating the Challenges of a Master’s Degree While Working Full-Time
Studying for a master’s degree while working full-time is not easy, but it is definitely worth the sacrifice, says Hendrik Reisch, Account Manager in Cedo’s sales office in Germany.
"I have been working at Cedo for about three years now. Initially, I started as a Junior Product Manager, received a promotion to Product Manager in January, and then switched departments to become an Account Manager at the Cedo office in Germany. Since Germany is an important market for us, we have a fairly large sales office in M?nchengladbach, about half an hour from Düsseldorf," Hendrik explains.
Handling Diverse Client Needs
"We deal with everything from huge orders for big supermarkets to bespoke orders for independent clients. It is our job to ensure that they all get exactly what they need within the required timeframe," Hendrik elaborates.
Balancing Studies and Work Responsibilities
In addition to his role at Cedo, Hendrik is also pursuing a master’s degree in business administration management and leadership. "I have been studying for the last two years, and it has not been easy to juggle both working and studying," Hendrik admits. "However, I am very fortunate because Cedo has supported me in many ways, such as offering flexible working hours. Although it has meant a lot of weekends and evenings dedicated to studying, the hard work is now almost over."?
Hendrik is currently completing his final master thesis and looks forward to having more free time soon. "The extra study has definitely been worth it because I have learned so much that will be useful for my career," he adds.

Sustainability at the Core
"When I was first interviewed for a job at Cedo, they asked me a lot about sustainability. At that point, I was fresh out of university and, to be honest, I probably hadn’t given it too much thought," Hendrik recalls.
Since joining Cedo, Hendrik has gained a deeper understanding of sustainable practices. "Sustainability is one of the main drivers we focus on. On a material level, it means things like collecting waste for our own recycling factory in Geleen and using recycled materials in our products.”?
Looking Ahead
"This is my first proper job, and I am looking forward to what the future holds for me at Cedo. But when I see many colleagues who have been with the company for years and share such a strong bond, I feel fortunate to be working at a place like Cedo, which also strives to minimize its environmental impact. I am excited about what the future holds," Hendrik concludes.
Hendrik Reisch’s journey at Cedo demonstrates the company's commitment to supporting its employees' professional development and its dedication to sustainability both in operations and in fostering a positive work environment.
