Hence, I made Edge my default browser after 12 years.

After working in the era of Internet Explorer 4.0 vs. Netscape and spending a lot of time fixing cross-browser issues for 20+ years, I was always waiting for a time when there would be uniformity in browsers to give a standard experience to the end-user and allow developers to make use of their time on development rather than cross-browser fixes.

We moved on to mobile responsive web and mobile application development with Hybrid apps and PWA. Now the compatibility has extended to the matrix of multiple browsers, OS levels, and hardware levels.

After dealing with compatibility on devices, the incompatibility persists, consuming more time to set it right and give a better experience to the end-user.

The incompatibility was still there, and web designers and developers are still struggling and spending additional time making it compatible.

The new Microsoft Edge, which was built using Chromium source code, uses the same rendering engine as Google Chrome.

Now, I think it takes us in the direction of the end of the browser wars, though we still have some minor compatibility issues with Chrome, Edge?and Safari.?

The web and Mobile worlds need more uniformity to be more productive.

Now Edge has become more powerful?with Bing being a co-pilot for the web delivering better search and better answers?

Hence, I made Edge my default browser after 12 years.
