FARAD S.A. design and manufacture heat exchangers. Quality is at the core of our business, we fabricate all kinds of heat exchangers (tubular and gasketed) with more than 40 years presence in the market.

For how long has FARAD been a member of HEMEXPO?

FARAD were co-founders of the HEMEXPO organization, foreseeing 8 years ago the benefits an organization such as HEMEXPO could bring to the Greek shipping industry.

What is your flagship product?

With environmental awareness on the rise, FARAD's flagship product is its electric heaters product line. Electric heaters are a great alternative to reduce costs and control emissions, which enhances an upgraded ships value and contributes to greener and more energy efficient ships. Additionally, high efficient air coolers are another leading FARAD product.

What percentage of your business is exports? To which countries are you mainly exporting to?

FARAD operates internationally; our units have been exported around the world for a range of applications. Working with multinational companies and foreign institutions, FARAD has participated in several projects in the marine, naval, industrial, petrochemical, and other sectors.

Can you please tell us about a project you have worked on recently?

We have some recent projects that we are really proud of, such as the successful commission of battery cooler units for a highly demanding military project - a project which had to be completed with the most diligence and in accordance with the highest standards. Also, another project which needed be carried out to the highest standards was the HPC - cooling coils for a nuclear power plant. Last but not least, we are also really proud of the new build projects FARAD has participated in, including newbuild projects in Korean shipyards for LNG ships, which are among the most modern and technological sophisticated merchant ships.
