Environmental Protection Engineering S.A. (EPE) was established in Piraeus, Greece, in 1977 and offers a complete range of environmental protection services and products, including emergency response services for oil and chemical spills. EPE has successfully responded to more than two thousand pollution incidents on the last four decades with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained and experienced personnel.

For how long has ERMA FIRST been a member of HEMEXPO?

Since 2014, EPE was one of the founding members.

What is your flagship product?

EPE’s flag ship product is the POSEIDON FIT, a new generation oil water separator that is certified to 5ppm. The POSEIDON FIT is designed to prolong equipment life and minimise operational and maintenance costs. Furthermore, they system’s AI features offer an enhanced level of control over unauthorised or accidental discharges of untreated bilge water, with the use of data recording software that continuously monitors all vital information.

What percentage of your business is exports? To which countries are you mainly exporting to?

EPE provides its products and solutions worldwide, approximately 45% of total sales are from exports.

Can you please tell us about a project you have worked on recently?

Over the last two years, EPE has completed a number of projects including:

• Supply of Aluminium anodes for Dutch ports
• IHM part I project with Intership-Donnelly
• Supply of Poseidon OWS for Indian Navy project of GRSE
• Torque meters supply and installation to major shipping companies to improves ships performance monitoring
• Supply of oil pollution control equipment (Oil containment booms, absorbents and skimmers) for the Greek Merchantile Marine Ministry
• Contract for the supply of Poseidon Oil Bilge Water Separator at Daehan-Danaos project 4 CN x7,200 TEU?
