Hello,
Request you all to mention your friend’s name/LinkedIn profile or any other contact details while sharing any reference on your LinkedIn account.
Pros of sharing the complete details:
1) The recruiter can get in touch with the person who is looking for a job directly.
2) Recruiter can see his/her profile and can decide whether the person is a good fit for the open job roles or not.
3) If in any case, recruiter doesn't have the similar position, he/she can redirect the candidate and help them to locate the open job roles in the market.
4) It would help the recruiter and the candidate to build the connections, it would be beneficial for future perspective as well.
5) It would save the recruiter's as well as candidates time to grab the jobs in the market.
Now, when you only mention that your unknown friend is looking for a job:
1) It looks fake, the recruiter cannot find such posts genuine.
2) The major constraint here is time, they will comment on your post later you'll reply on it, then your friend will share the resume and so on.
3) It creates a long process to reach the candidate, because of which he/she might losses the chances available in the market.
4) If you think that a few fake persons will connect with your friend, tell them to judge them and block them, if they didn't find them genuine.
5) A recruiter will always focus on the profiles where he/she can save their time to close the positions for their companies. Hence, sometimes they might ignore your post thinking that it will consume more time.
One most important point, if a person is genuinely looking for a job there is no need of hiding their profile or identity. Because ultimately it is gonna be shared with multiple people over the internet.
As per my perspective, if you think that fake people or people with diff intentions will connect with you or the person who is looking for a job then, it’s quite easy to block them. On every platform we have a block option, whether it’s a call, message, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram and so on.
Just block the unwanted people and continue your search with the genuine ones.
