Helping Ukrainians establish a new life in Poland

Helping Ukrainians establish a new life in Poland

As a company, and as individuals, we have been watching in horror as the devastating situation in Ukraine has unfolded. Whilst we have been helping in any way that we can up until this point, we have at times felt powerless and overwhelmed with the sheer scale of what is happening.

Recently, Mungo Keulemans, Director of ai4process P.S.A. in Krakow, shared his experience of the Ukrainian refugees arriving in Poland: “most of the people arriving here from Ukraine have nowhere permanent to live, no place to work and no clue as to how to access local medical services. Many people are afraid for their future.”

We decided we needed to do something about it. We needed to do more.

That’s why we have been working closely with our Krakow team to develop a support package aimed at IT consultants. This package involves:

  • A short-term housing subsidy
  • ?An intensive language training programme
  • An intensive Pega training programme
  • ?Private medical cover
  • A stable salary with regular increases

We know this is not a solution to all a refugee’s problems. But it is our hope that by providing a short-term period of stability, we can allow an individual to look forward to their future again, rather than only surviving in the here and now.

“We have been planning to open an office in Krakow for some time now. Shortly after organising a visit to establish the company, the situation in Ukraine took a turn for the worse and refugees started flooding across the border” says ai4process CEO, Amit Agrawal, reflecting on the moment that became the catalyst for the project.

“When we arrived in Poland, we were tremendously moved by the humanity shown by the whole nation. Very quickly, we made the decision to do everything we could to help support the refugees by providing a small amount of stability at this turbulent time.”

Our programme is open to all Ukrainians entering Poland who have a background in application development or IT consultancy. If you, or someone you know, is interested in this programme, please contact us at [email protected].

Please share this message with your wider network. The more we spread the word and work together, the more we can make an impact during this difficult time.

Thank you.
