Helping People Change Isn't Hard If You Do This

Helping People Change Isn't Hard If You Do This

Any successful change begins with the answer to one of the most basic questions about change: Why?

It is human nature to want to understand the reasoning behind an action or a required change. The first building block of the Prosci ADKAR Model, awareness, represents this thirst for understanding.?

Lack of awareness has been cited as the number one reason of employee resistance.

If you get this step right and create awareness around what the change is and why it is occurring, then change can be easy.

Here are some important questions you should consider when you are trying to create awareness around change.

  1. How aware are you people of the change coming? (The delivery source of this messaging is also crucial).
  2. Why are we changing?
  3. What is changing?
  4. Who is changing?
  5. How are we changing?
  6. When is it changing?

I hope you enjoy.

Be safe.
