Helping out

NDIS Registered Plan Manager- significantly reducing the admin burden for NDIS Participants and time poor Support Coordinators
The month of May was Mental Health Awareness Month, a month to raise awareness of those living with mental or behavioural health issues and to help reduce the stigma of mental illness.
Trinity Plan Management has been working with the fantastic people at Salvation Army’s Foley House, a hostel providing accommodation and services for men with mental illness. We are NDIS Plan Managers for several of Foley House’s clients and have met with our clients, their caseworkers and the support coordinator over the past couple of months. We were super impressed with the Foley House case workers and how they are so involved with the guys and doing a fantastic job supporting them and we wanted to find more ways to get alongside and help.
So, we reached out to our local BNI chapter to see if there were any like minded business owners who wanted to get involved. We were overwhelmed by the generous response of the local businesses owners that make up the BNI Western Ninjas and also the various businesses who were visiting the chapter during that week’s meeting.
Despite the impact of Covid 19 on their bottom lines, these businesses recognised that there were people doing it even tougher than they were and were keen to help-out.
As a group we were able to deliver clothes, shoes, belts and forty individual toiletries packs to the men of Foley House. The clients and case workers were so thankful for the generosity of the BNI Western Ninjas and the local businesses.
We would like to personally thank all the contributors: Jenny from Altona Travel and Cruise, Emma from Murnane Print Group, Cat from David McCarthy Plumbing and a special shout out to Annalisa from WCIG who goes above and beyond to help coordinate supports for the men of Foley House. Great job guys!
