Helping one of our own... Time to Give...
V. Lee Henson
I teach leaders to improve their product management foundation & scale business agility by facilitating award winning Agile training & Scrum certification workshops ?? Ask me about the upcoming sessions!
I hope this post finds you, your family, and your business well. I normally would not burden any of you or post a post of this type on this venue, but this really struck my heart and I thought this may be a GREAT place for us to assist one of our own in a time of need.
Jacob Anderson is a current CSM, CSPO, and CSP. He is working VERY hard on reaching CST but is missing some time Co-Training, etc. Now that I read this story I understand why his schedule has been so difficult. He is a Father of 8 children and one of his sons (William) was diagnosed with ALL (Leukemia). He was deemed cancer-free once already only to find that the nasty cancer came back a second time. This child William has had a REALLY tough life and his dad, Jacob, has done anything and everything possible to make certain his son has lived as normal a life possible given the circumstances.
Jacob is an AMAZING Agile Coach and has done loads of work with the likes of Wells Fargo, and Wal-Mart. He is an inspirational and motivational teacher. He is a regular presenter for the Salt Lake City Scrum Meetup and he is also looking for our help. I do realize that we all have personal struggles, but I just could not imagine going through all that he has and still finding the time and the heart to give so much to the Agile and Scrum Project Management Community. Here is a link to his GoFundMe page that was just posted a few days ago telling you William's story:

I am planning on doing a CSM session and calling it a class for William. I will donate the proceeds from the course to help Jacob and his family. The family is really struggling financially and needs our support and help.
I do 100% apologize if this message offends any of you in any way, as it was certainly not intended to. As a relatively quiet person in this community, I felt this was worthy of raising my voice to champion what I deem to be a great cause.
If this is NOT your thing, thanks for understanding and have a wonderful rest of your day and week.
If this is your thing and you have any creative ideas for additional ways we can help, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Thanks in advance for your spirit of kindness!
