Thought of Sharing One of My experience with you All.
Recently one of my friend was In Need of few Recent Civil Engineering graduates for the company he works in and also for another company for Positions In Interior Designing and 3D Modelling (with 3DS max software). So he Requested me if I know any of such candidates, I can let him know their Candidatures or Applications to him.
So I shared it with My Connections about the Requirement and also the CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS on How to apply for the same i.e. how to send their Candidatures (details) to Me, So that I can Forward them to him.
Now, What Pained Me a lot was Even after giving them (My Connections, Job Seekers) Crystal Clear Instructions on how to Apply, Of All the Applications I received for those posts, only 30-35% were Complete (i.e. with all details which I had asked them to submit).
Around 70% or more of the Candidatures Were Incomplete. Few didn't had Mentioned their Years of Experience in the called-for post, while few their Contact information and Number.
So, Here’s the Catch. Is it Okay to blame the System for Today’s Un-Employment rise? Is It Okay to say that Nobody wants to give fresher's a Chance? Is it Justified to say Every Company Only Needs Experienced Candidates & Not Fresher’s?
Well, The Answer to all The Above Questions May Be 'Yes' (to Some Extent) but Who is Accountable for Those 70% of Incomplete Applications Received for that particular Job post? Is it Not a job seeker's (Fresher’s, Specifically) Primary responsibility that whenever they see a job post, to apply for the same, With All Complete Details asked by the Advertisement or Recruiter?
This is where the Fresher’s are Missing the Point. THEY DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS.
Incomplete Applications are often the reason why you don’t hear back from Recruiters!
