Helping Customers Get to the Cloud
Mario Shirley
Director of Project Services | CMAR Specialist | Preconstruction & Risk Management | Construction Executive
I've helped many customers with their journey to the cloud. Each time it has required that I do more listening than talking. Along the way, I've learned that nothing is as important as trust!
I define trust as being authentic, capable, and reliable.
- Do I have a real and genuine interest in their success?
- Have I demonstrated an ability to add value?
- Will I always keep my promises?
Exerting unnecessary pressure on a customer does not build trust.
Gaining agreement and improving communications ensures a proper foundation.
- Do I understand the client's requests?
- How can we determine if there are any risks?
- Does the discussion require that I build relationships throughout my client's business?
- How can I provide a level of service that others are either unable or unwilling to provide?
Managing cloud transformations must align with my client's current capabilities and future requirements. By changing my approach, I am helping customers get to the cloud.
