The Measure
Helping change Melbourne's future
Landair’s Westgate Tunnel Project team has made a major contribution to Victoria’s infrastructure and traffic management, after almost two years of dedicated work.
Our team includes Trent, Tony, Clare and Eden, with Trent overseeing the project, Tony and Eden completing fieldwork and Trent, Clare and Eden working on plans.
Project Surveyor Eden Coombes said the specific requirements for survey types and plans required have been quite unique and niche.?“Working on acquisition surveys over such a large corridor doesn’t occur very often. This is the first time in my career I have seen acquisition surveys with such complexity and it’s been invaluable experience for dealing with similar projects in the future,” said Eden.
This project has required significant liaison between other survey firms and sectors within the?Westgate Tunnel Project?to achieve the finished product, highlighting our adaptability and outstanding communication skills.?
“It’s been exciting to be part of a project that is directly related to Melbourne’s diverse and growing infrastructure.”
The?Surveying Task Force?blog,?Mapping the Blueprint: The Role of Land Surveyors in Victoria’s Big Build, is a great insight into the vital role of surveyors within Victoria’s Big Build.
“Victoria's Big Build isn't just about construction; it's about precision, sustainability, and foresight. Behind every inch of progress lies the meticulous work of land surveyors, mapping out the blueprint for our state's future.”

Investing in new aerial imaging technology
Better ROI, quality images, faster results?
Our trip to the Locate24 conference in May was not only a wonderful opportunity for professional development. We connected with Phase One Geospatial , a pioneer of digital photography and the leading provider of high end imaging technology, and invested in an incredible new aerial mapping solution, the PAS 280i.
