Fear begets fear, while love conquers all: discover how a woman’s message of love empowers kids in these uncertain times & creates a brighter future for us all!
Try explaining the “invisible enemy” of today’s COVID-19 to little ones, and you might not be the only one having difficulty.
Whether you’re having trouble answering questions with young children related to Coronavirus - perhaps just talking about what lies ahead: “the invisible enemy” fires up feelings of insecurity and fear.
Doubt grows in our minds in accordance with what the future holds. Optimism is weak. Let’s admit it- we alone still seek a clear explanation- from health professionals, President Trump, and expert officials as the spread of Coronavirus infections increase.
It’s essential to keep the “Coronavirus Conversation” going with kids verses not discussing anything at all. Not talking about “the invisible enemy” will affect kids from developing a sense of autonomy, trust, and hope - which in turn leads to more insecurity and anxiety. A vicious cycle indeed!

Kristy Kline from Cleveland, Ohio author of a new children’s book entitled “Starlite” is determined to help kids overcome the damaging effects that fear from the “invisible enemy” plays on their mental health.
Kristy explains: “Ever since the outbreak of COVID-19, I have been deeply moved to conquer the fear children are going through. I want to help children overcome fear. Can you imagine what young children are thinking and how they feel right now? Starlite is a children’s book that was written with the goal of delivering a positive message about self-worth & good will.”
One of the biggest messages in the book is the believing in yourself and treating others with genuine kindness. Kline states “My primary purpose was to create a story to entertain and captivate little one’s attention through a spirit of hope, courage, and kindness.”
“The strategy Starlite uses to empower herself is to smile with all her heart. That is all she must do to become a superhero. Yay! We can all do that. Smiles can do wonders to make us happy, help us when we're feeling down, and even release endorphins- the happy hormones that let your body know you’re in a positive state of mind. Starlite smiles with all her heart and uses her physical state to alter her emotional state. We talk about the future generation of tomorrow, so they will have a brighter future. Ideally, we want today’s youth to have a brighter future, one without fear. Let’s not forget to smile, be kind and remind our children how powerful peace and love are."
