Help Us Help Seniors in Need

 At The Home Depot, we consider ourselves a member of the communities we serve. That’s why Team Depot – our associate-led volunteer force – and The Home Depot Foundation, lead service projects big and small  year-round to help those in need. We donate our time, talents and money raised by the foundation or set aside by our company to help veterans, seniors, families and organizations working to make a difference.

At least once a year, we get our online community involved in a bigger effort to give back. This year, for the 3rd Annual Great Giveback Helping Hands contest, we are asking people to share a story of how they have helped or been helped. For each entry we receive, we will donate $5 to Meals on Wheels America, up to $30,000. Meals on Wheels delivers meals to seniors living at home who cannot cook or are unable to get themselves to the grocery store. This helps seniors maintain as much independence as possible and also gives their family members peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of.

 This is a great way to give back to those in need this season, even if you are unable to volunteer your time or donate money. Together, we can help Meals on Wheels continue to make a difference.
