Director of Partners in Care and Health, Andrew Hughes , urges councils to complete the latest sector-led improvement survey from the Department of Health and Social Care and explains its importance for future offers.

We’re currently working with Department of Health and Social Care to prepare the adult social care improvement programme for 2024/25.

The department is running a survey, which closes next Wednesday (1 November), to capture insight from the sector, asking local authorities to comment on the support they have received over the last 12 months and the impact it has had on their ability to improve and deliver their services.

We believe this is a great opportunity to celebrate the work we have achieved together as a sector.

The survey asks views on the improvement support received, as well as indicate the outcomes and benefits achieved. We are keen to evidence the value of the support we provide, as well as the sector’s preference for a continued sector-led approach towards improved support, delivered by your membership organisations.

I ask that local authorities which have benefitted from our support offers, complete the survey and particularly highlight how the current improvement offers in place allow you to:

• shape the support you need,
• receive support by and from your peers and experts in your field,
• access support freely and easily.

Given the depth of improvement support provided by Partners in Care and Health, at both a strategic and operational level, we’re keen our local authority partners use this opportunity to outline the benefits of cross-sector led support and celebrate the expertise and unique value derived from our support offers.
