Help Our Wounded Royal Marines
Important reminder! Help our Wounded Royal Marines is a charity (Number:1150893) that helps injured Royal Marines & their families regardless of age & years of service.
The South East England team of volunteers are currently organising their ANNUAL London to Brighton Sleigh Pull, not only to raise monies for the wounded, but also to collect donated presents which will be delivered to ALL Royal Marine Units for the children who have lost their fathers OR their fathers have been injured. The Sleigh Pull starts in London, stopping in the High Street, Crawley, West Sussex on Saturday November 25th around 5:00pm when a band will lead the Sleigh into the High Street & be greeted by the Mayor of Crawley. On Sunday 26th November the Sleigh Pull starts from Pease Pottage services & heads to Brighton where they will be met by the Mayor of Brighton at the pier. Every penny raised gets back to those that need it & most importantly , as the charity is run by volunteer, NO ADMINISTRATION FEES are taken from the contributions. The SOUTH EAST TEAM of volunteers are seeking donations of toys which can be delivered to Harveys of Lewes public house, The White Hart, 65 High Street, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 1BQ (Tel: 01293 520033)
Companies (& individuals) wishing to make a financial donation to the charity (Cheques payable to Help Our Wounded Royal Marines) can also display their company logo on the Sleigh to emphasise their support.
