HELP OUR RURAL COUSINS
Anita Donlon gives all her time in supporting our small business sector in rural towns across Australia through the Australian Horizons Foundation which is focused on mental health.
This does not just mean the local bakery, hairdresser and news agency in a small town but also the farmers, the agri business sector ....IN FACT EVERY SMALL BUSINESS sector and the overall well being of the community.
She sees family breakdowns, folk withdrawing from socialising due to depression and its youth becoming disengaged and generational farms becoming a thing of the past.
The hotels are its historic hubs of our communities and play a vital role in the social cohesion and overall social health of our communities. Sadly these are also dying off...
Her catch cry is "let distance not divide us" and this is why her mission is to create the economic and social goodwill in rural communities is so important.
To enable her achieve its mission she and the Foundation has to raise funds to be able to help the rural sector.
