Mission Driven Design

Educators House (EH) is designed to advance professional development. We center the voice and experience of front line educators (teachers, administrators, psychologists, nutritionists, technologists, parents, employers, etc.) as much as the experts.

We are moving away from the traditional "one-way direct-instruction" approach. Instead we've created a platform that fosters collaboration for courageous and critical "town-hall" style conferences. We host dynamic discussions, tackle significant issues, and harness the collective wisdom of our community.

Our core values center around empowering educators to be architects of their professional growth. We aim to create a space where your voice matters, where expertise meets collaboration, and where professional development is amplified by the knowledge that resides within our educational community.

Key Factors

So I wanted a design that resonated with these features:

1. Professional Grade: No cartoons, crazy colors, or unusual designs
2. Distinct & Memorable: Not too generic or complicated.
3. Simple: It should be easily reproducible and scalable for small icons or large banners.
4. Appropriate: Community connection is critical to our mission.

When choosing your favorite consider these intentional design elements:

• Feeling First: Which on just feels right? This is most important.
• Negative space: Is one too close or too far to feel connected?
• Legible: Can you see the E and the H?
• Connected: Do you like the implied connection or does the bridge bring it together?
• Letter Stroke: Is some part of the letter too thick or too thin?
