Help me with my project :)
This is going to be a somewhat unusual request. I am currently editing the first draft of my book, 'The Little Book of Holism', in which I unpack for ordinary folks the core insights from Jan Smuts' major work, 'Holism and Evolution' (1926). Somebody at St John's College, either Oxford or Cambridge University, wrote the most erudite comments in my 'first edition' copy. I want to refer to those. Please help me decipher the name from the attached signature. And maybe you might even provide some further information. Thank you.

8 年Claudius I think the surname is Yaldwyn. The first initial looks very like a Germanic B or L.

8 年Greetings friends, I am well into editing the first draft of my book, 'The Little Book of Holism'. Now I'm looking for volunteers willing to read it for me and provide constructive feedback. I'm wanting to ensure that the concepts are comprehensible to the orginary non-scietific or non-philosophical reader. Please let me know if you are interested.

8 年Have you contacted the St John's Colleges? They should have a register of who was associated with them at that specific point in time.
