Help Me Help the Homeless
2020 has been one interesting year. Covid and it’s economic impacts have made the most vulnerable people in our society even more at risk for homelessness and hunger. I, like many of you are frustrated trying to figure out ways to help but not knowing how. I found my answer by joining the Society of St. Vincent De Paul; a group dedicated to helping the poor. One of our conferences key objectives is to help prevent people who are on the edge of homelessness from becoming homeless.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic lay organization. We provide food, clothing, and furniture, assisting with rent and utility to prevent homelessness, providing transportation, and assisting in many other ways. Our help is to anyone regardless of religions, ethnic and social backgrounds, genders, immigration statuses, etc.
We cannot do it alone and need your help. This year, I am participating in the Saint Vincent de Paul virtual Friends of the Poor Walk with the intent to raise at least $3,000 for our St. Vincent de Paul Conference. Last year, our Conference provided approximately $26,000 in aid to 23 individuals or families. It is all possible from donations from people like you!
Every dollar donated goes to help people in need in our community.
Making a tax-deductible donation is easy – simply go to Friends of the Poor Walk - WalkerProfile click on "Donate to Walker" and enter your donor and billing information. Make sure you enter your email address so that you receive a confirmation of your donation.

So please help now! Donate to the Friends of the Poor? Walk in whatever amount you feel comfortable in giving. If you can't help financially, then donate usable clothing, shoes, appliances, furniture, etc. to your local SVdP or other charitable organization in your community.
Thank you for hearing me out and for whatever help you can give.
Together we all can make a difference.
