Help Feed San Antonio

So as many people are working to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are finding themself out of work and needing assistance. The San Antonio Food Bank is the primary choice for those that are in need.
I love it when our city is in the national news for positive things, but most recently this was the news:
Now I don't know about you, but I love San Antonio and love the culture and people we have and I hate to see my fellow citizens in need and hurting. The Food Bank not only feeds those in need but also feeds those students who are not in school and would normally get a nutritious meal from school.
When we saw this news article, my wife and I discussed how can we help. Our normal way was to volunteer at the Food Bank's garden, but with social distancing and such we were at a loss. Until we saw Grant Lopez and the San Antonio Board of Realtors jump into action.
Grant put out a challenge to #Shavetheday by promising to shave his head if we raised $5,000. This was so successful they were able to raise the money in a little more than 48 hours. Grant then challenged many of us on the San Antonio Board of Directors and other real estate and San Antonio leaders to do the same and try and raise more money for the food bank. Being that I am not only on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Board of Directors, but an officer for the CCIM San Antonio/South Texas Chapter as well, this was a natural opportunity to put my hair on the line.
So here is the deal, if we raise $5,000 for the food bank, I will shave my head. If we want to get crazy and make some requests of how it is shaved, then make them and we can get this done. We are in a blessed city and many of us have the means to donate a sum of money. Even $1 can provide 10 pounds of food. $25 is 250 pounds of food, $50 is 500 pounds of food. A small sacrifice can go a very long way especially for those who are struggling and going without.
