Help ease the pressure on A&E Depts

Help ease the pressure on A&E Depts

According to NHS England*, in October 2016, 1.3 million people attended A&E Departments and half of them could have received their services at a Walk-In-Centre or Minor Injury Unit, or by going to their GP or to a Pharmacy.

Compliance with the 4hr standard at Walk-In-Centres and Minor Injury Units was 99.4% (even though 650,000 people attended).

So, if you only need routine medical advice or treatment that can be provided at a Walk-In-Centres or Minor Injury Unit, you are going to save yourself time and also help to ease the pressure on A&E Departments if you present there instead of at A&E!

If you're not sure where you need to go, phone 111.

Please pass it on!
