Help Deployed Service Members This Flu Season!

Help Deployed Service Members This Flu Season!

Looking for a way to support our men and women in uniform? Adopting a deployed Service Member is a powerful way to show you care! When you adopt, you'll send care packages and letters that lift spirits and promote well-being.

Especially during flu season, care packages filled with health essentials like hand sanitizers, immune boosters, warm socks, and comforting foods can make all the difference. These thoughtful items help Service Members stay healthy or recover quickly and provide the comforts of home no matter where they are located!?

Here are some additional ideas to make a healthful impact in a care package:?

  1. Health Essentials:?Include items like hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes, and face masks. These can be incredibly useful in preventing the spread of germs in close quarters.
  2. Vitamin Boosters:?Vitamin C supplements, multivitamins, and immune-boosting teas can help Service Members stay healthy and fend off illness.
  3. Comfort Foods:?Think about sending dry soup packets?or broth packets, herbal teas, and honey. These are not only comforting but can also soothe a sore throat or provide a quick pick-me-up.
  4. Hydration Help:?Electrolyte packets or powders are great for staying hydrated, especially if they’re feeling under the weather.
  5. Warmth and Comfort:?Consider adding items like warm socks, beanies, or even a cozy blanket. Keeping warm can be a challenge in some environments, and these items add a layer of comfort.
  6. Soothing Remedies:?Items like cough drops, throat lozenges, and nasal sprays can be invaluable when dealing with cold or flu symptoms.
  7. Personal Touch:?Don’t forget to include a handwritten note or a personal message. Words of encouragement and support can be just as healing as any care package item.
