Help the Client Contact You!

Hi everyone!

Imagine such a situation. A potential client found your law firm surfing the Internet and called you immediately, but the phone line was busy. Or a client found your contacts on the Internet at night but did not call you back during the day because they submitted an electronic application on another legal site. Just think about it - how often could this happen to you?

Unfortunately, this is quite common. Your potential client goes to your competitors, and you lose money.

I can explain this customer tendency very simply - people want answers to their questions here and now. They require your full attention.?Research shows?that 90% of customers want immediate answers to all their questions about services. They do not care what time of day it is or if you have a day off.

What should you do then? How can you keep customers?

I have several ideas.

Three ways to connect with the client at any time

Go to your site right now. See if it has these features:

  • a?Callback request button (a handy option that the client can use if the phone lines are busy);
  • chatbot?(by communicating with the bot, the client can get additional information about your company and your services);
  • contact form (the client can leave a request for legal services).

As you can see, each feature can help you interact with customers outside of business hours or when dealing with other issues. Therefore, I recommend using all the listed tools on the site. But even if everything is generally clear with the chatbot and a Callback request button, we still should discuss the contact form in more detail.

The fact is that a contact form can stimulate conversion and, on the contrary, negatively affect performance. Why? A lot depends on how you customize it. Your contact form should be simple, convenient, and understandable - this is how you maximize its effectiveness.

How to make a contact form

Pay attention to each element.

1. Title

It should be short and clear to ensure that the website visitors immediately understand what you want from them.

2. Comprehensiveness

For the contact form to be informative, you must indicate two main points in it:

  • What the user should do (enter an email, leave a phone number, etc.);
  • What they will receive as a result (the message is registered, the answer will come to email, a scheduled callback shall await them, etc.).

3. Brevity

Users are not big fans of long forms - don't ask them to register on the site, create and confirm a password, or confirm their email address. Extra actions will scare them away.

Ideally, the form should have three lines: name, email address, and the message. You can add a phone number to the list if you don't mark it as a required string.

4. Headings above the fields

Design your contact form so that headings are above each field.

5. Adaptability

The contact form needs to be adapted for smartphones and tablets to improve the quality of user interaction with the site and its tools.

Also, do not forget the Thank You page for those who have already filled out the contact form. This small detail will show your respect and attention to the client.

If you use at least some of these tips, you will significantly improve the performance of the contact form, simplify the interaction with it for users, and get grateful customers. After all, the recommendations come down to one thing - your site should be convenient for the client. In the following article, I will expand on the usability of online platforms.

Does the contact form on your website need any upgrades based on the tips provided?

Good luck!
