Will it help to change the bus driver?

Will it help to change the bus driver?

For most of those who managed to read the publication written in 2014 titled "The History of South and ANC twenty years later" will understand why South Africa is in this mess. By replacing the bus driver will not solve our challenges as a nation, thus I am of the opinion that Minister President Dlamini should remain in her position and take responsibility of the mess created in that department. If she now goes, who will be held accountable? It will be the same situation that was seen in the Gauteng Health Department after the MEC resigned. Why it is the ANC that has to work for people these days and not the people who volunteered to work for the ANC.

When looking at the opinion piece that I publish on ZIMPRO NEWS on March 3, 2017 I made an example of a bus driver that was changed when the bus was unable to move in the Nelson Mandela Metro. The edited version goes like, -

'It all started when the bus was broken and no one knew what to do, a number of opinion makers made their contributions on why the bus was stuck, but did not get any help. To understand, one has to go back in time when everyone wanted to show case that they can drive the bus. Everyone in that bus wanted to test how the bus is driven, even those who did not know how to drive the bus wanted to taste how the bus is driven. Everyone made a contribution in the sale of the bus that will transport people from colonialism and slavery to freedom. Little did they know that the meaning of freedom once in power meant corruption, greed, misuse of power and mess after mess. Now the challenge was that everyone wanted to own the bus and that made it impossible for the bus to survive the duration guaranteed by the manufacturer. Now that everyone was prepared to learn how to drive on the same new bus, It was not going to be easy for the poor bus to survive, the road traffic office came into the picture when there was an accident and the driver did not have a license to drive. That is when corruption started, rules, laws were flawed and the transgression continued. After the officer was paid a lamp-sum he left the scene and no report was filed.

Where was this bus going? A scenario is what happened to the fall of ANC in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality when they deployed Jordan to lead the Metro after leadership crisis in that region. It was a mess, and Jordan was expected to fix the problem. Since everyone was driving the bus, clutch plate was on fire, the breaks did not work, someone took the battery, there was no fuel, oil was mixing with water, and now everyone wanted to know why the bus was not moving. The leadership went to press conference to announce a grand plan for the solution of the problem at hand. When everyone gathered around to listen to the grand solution, only to here leadership announcing that they have found a new bus driver. Was that a solution to the problems at hand? Yes, the new bus driver, was seating next to the president with his new uniform. The was some confusion to the press conference because everyone wanted to raise a question on the grand solution, this is because everyone new that the bus was the problem not the previous driver. Yes the previous driver did not have a license, but yes, he could drive the bus. It has been an acceptable pattern since 2007 that anyone can drive, no credentials were important, with standard two and tractor driving experience, you could be employed as a driver in that firm. Now by changing the driver meant that the bus will move was some puzzle to those who attended the press conference. Will Jordan start the bus without a battery? Will the bus move when the engine needed engine overhaul? Will the new bus driver with his new uniform solve the problems of the bus and come with magic? This has been the situation of the ANC since the elected leadership of Polokwane came into the driving seat. This should not be a puzzled to the press conference attendees, it was written early in 2+2=4 not 22 article a few years ago, why are we puzzled now?

The ANC leadership has failed the nation by not delivering to the promises it has been promising the electorate when it came into power. The ANC has been changing policies every-time a new leadership come on board and have blamed past leaders for not being able to implement the correct ANC policies. This then becomes an opportunity for the opposition to come up and unite in taking the responsibility of moving the nation forward. The opposition will not manage to achieve this if they approach these challenges individually and not act as a collective because the ANC will deploy a new bus driver to the problem at hand and people will have a trust in the driver that he will perform a miracle only to find that the bus is the problem. It is the right time for the opposition to come together and unite in strategizing for the future of South Africa. It has to be young people from these parties who will be able to manage this and come with solutions that will work for South Africans in general. The ANC leadership is busy destroying the brand ANC and the opposition can use this advantage. All ANC ministers and leaders are old and have expired to participate in the welfare of running a country in this new technological dispensation. It is only young people who will have an idea of solving current challenges faced by human race, the young will not blame apartheid for the challenges created by ANC. The opposition can start with ensuring that everyone above the age of sixty should retire and not take any role in the management of state resources. The grant is waiting for them. It is embarrassing to see old people being fairly attacked by young people at parliament because of their immoral and unethical behavior as it is the case with the current state president. The president has violated and transgressed the rule of law, the Constitution of South Africa. The collective ANC leaders (current NEC members or Cabals) sit back and watch to protect him when he continues to set wrong principles that are totally the opposite of what ANC used to stand for. It has been strange in the history of ANC to have someone that the ANC works for instead of him working for the ANC as it was the case during the years of liberation.

When you read "Mzansi two sides of the same coin" article also written some time ago, you will understand why the heads are turning in their graves when they look at what the ANC Todays looks like. Things have changed in the ANC and that the tails are in charge, the heads whom we will always pay tribute to should be turning in their graves when they see that the monster created within the ranks and file of the ANC is now taking the legacy of the ANC down with his collective cabals who are on the mission of destroying the values and principle that the ANC used to stand for. Changing the drive will not help as we move to 2019 NPE, the entire ANC brand should be taken out of power and new people be given a chance. If properly calculated, the opposition might be given an opportunity to lead in ensuring that the engine is fixed and SA brand plays a pivotal role in the global space.'

This was what was published for the monthly publication and this opinion is relevant when we looked at what just happen yesterday when the ConCourt could not give a solution to the crisis at hand. Yes it is true that CPS needs a contract before it can receive money from Treasury as per procedure and protocol of the rules of the game. Will our grant beneficiaries receive they grants come 1 April 2017? It is possible for the grant to be paid because money is there, but will government use their corrupt activities to pay these grant and use the CornCourt to violate the same rules set on PFMA? Will Post Office come into the rescue and pay these grants with DSD assisted by SAPS during this time of emergency as it has been seen to happen a long time ago? Will government get rid of CPS in solving the crisis at hand and come with a solution that will assist in solving the challenge at hand. The setup task team that will deal with this mess should be given and enough assistance by all state organs and ensure that everyone is paid on April Fools Day or that government will not be able to handle the situation that will explode. It will be the bus accident scene where everything will just go on fire and no one taking responsibility of the created mess.
