Hello, World! Welcome to my first newsletter!
Welcome to the first edition of "When a physiotherapist sees..."! In this newsletter, I'll be sharing my thoughts and observations from my work as a physiotherapist, as well as tips and advice for people seeking physiotherapy treatment.
One thing I see all too often as a physiotherapist is people waiting until they are in pain or experiencing a problem before seeking help. While it's important to address any issues that arise, I believe that prevention is key to maintaining good physical health. By taking a proactive approach to our bodies, we can avoid many of the common aches, pains, and injuries that plague so many of us.
But what does prevention look like? It's not just about exercises or stretches - it's also about being mindful of our movements and activities, getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, and seeking help when we need it.
I encourage everyone to take some time to learn about their body. This could mean reading up on simple articles on basic anatomy, researching different exercises and activities that are appropriate for your body, or even joining short courses to learn more about how to take care of yourself.
Of course, there will be times when seeking help from a physiotherapist or other healthcare professional is necessary. But by taking a proactive approach to prevention, we can often avoid the need for treatment altogether.
I hope you enjoy this first edition of "When a physiotherapist sees...", and I look forward to sharing more with you in future issues.
Best regards,
Lav.
