Hello? Is this thing on? ??
Speaking about Henosia at Build Stuff Conference in Vilnius in November 2022.

Hello? Is this thing on? ??

So, as some of you might have seen/heard, Jim Meyer and I have been careless enough to quit our good jobs and start on our own in Henosia . We started working on Henosia on the side in Spring of 2020 and about a year ago we both went fulltime ????.

Since then, both of us regularly get questions along the line of "What is it actually you're making in Henosia?", "How is it going in Henosia?" and "When is Henosia done?" In addition to answering these questions individually, we thought we'd create a blog/place where people can follow what we're doing in Henosia.

Secondly, the successes, the wins, the money, etc. are only a very small part of being an entrepreneur. You don't hear about the hardship, the struggles, the learnings, the breakthroughs, the experiments and everything else that happens behind the scenes and goes into building a business like Henosia. We'd like to change that by joining the trend of "building in public" (read more about building in public here, #buildinpublic), where you get a more transparent, honest and nuanced view of a company's story.

But what is Henosia even?

Glad you asked! For those of you who haven't followed too closely until now, here's a quick recap:

"Henosia is a new category of design tool that is able to design directly in code. No more drawings from vector tools, no more exported code, no more keeping design and development in sync, no more hand off gap. Henosia is based off the pains Jim and I have lived throughout a 20 year career in development and design, respectively. We want to abolish the handoff gap for designers and developers and give them one source of truth, namely what lies in their code repository.
Henosia is currently in Alpha and taking in new Alpha testers. We are supported by Innovation Fund Denmark and are part of their program Innofounder ."

But enough talk, a tool like Henosia is much better demoed, than explained. In this YouTube video from my talk at Build Stuff - Software Development Conference in November of 2022, I give an introduction to how Henosia can change the way designers and developers collaborate, and then I do a 25 minute demo of Henosia:

I hope you enjoyed the video and learned a bit about Henosia (click if you want to give us a follow).

If you did, and you want to follow our journey with Henosia, please go to my profile and click the bell icon ?? (circled in red in the picture below). That way you get notified about each new #buildinpublic article I post (expect about one per week).

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about Henosia, please reach out at [email protected], we'd be happy to chat. Perhaps you can even join the Alpha, as we're currently taking in our second batch of Alpha users! You can sign up on our website.

We're also present on Twitter under the handle @HenosiaHQ, and both on here and on Twitter we use the hashtag #designheartscode.

That's it for now, I hope you want to read along and join us on this journey! ??
