Hello, Tango! Introducing our newest daily logic game — plus more features to reconnect with your network through our games

Just a few months ago, we brought LinkedIn games (Pinpoint, Queens, and Crossclimb) to the world —?and we’re thrilled about how many of you are using them to exercise your mind and prep for (or take a break from!) the workday. You’re making it a habit — 80% of you who play on a given day return to play the following day, and 76% return to play again a week later.?

What I love most, though, is how many of you are turning the games into a way to spark light banter and friendly competition amongst colleagues, companies, and schools —?this was the reason we built games into LinkedIn: to reconnect, deepen, and reignite professional relationships. In fact, 40% of you who play a game on LinkedIn each day are joining in because someone who matters to you shared the game in a conversation.?

You’ve told us you want more —?so today, I’m excited to announce that we’re adding one more original game to our lineup, giving you yet another way to exercise your mind and stay in touch with connections.?

It’s time to Tango

Tango is a fresh challenge that follows a logic-based format similar to our global favorite, Queens. If you’re a Queens fan looking for more, this one’s for you. Or, if you’ve tried Queens and it didn’t quite click —?this one is meant for you, too.?

Like other LinkedIn games, Tango is a once-a-day puzzle that only takes a few minutes, and is designed to be engaging, easy to share, and perfect for fostering friendly competition.?

Your objective is to fill the grid so that each cell contains either a sun (??) or a moon (??). But here’s the catch: No more than 2 ??or ?? may be next to each other, either vertically or horizontally. And each row (and column) must contain the same number of ??and ??.?

When you see =’s and x’s on the grid, don’t fret —?there’s no math involved. Cells separated by an = sign must be of the same type. Cells separated by an x sign must be of the opposite type.

Here’s an example in action:?

A preview of Tango, LinkedIn's newest daily logic game

Simple rules can lend themselves to fun and challenging puzzles with clever puzzle design. So I’m excited to share that, just like with Queens, our first daily Tango grids will be crafted by Thomas Snyder , three-time World Sudoku Champion.?

Tango will follow the same difficulty arc as our other games: Mondays will be the easiest (start the week with a win!), and Sundays will be the toughest (fight off those Sunday scaries!). But don’t worry — we’ve always got your back when the puzzles get tough, with a built-in intelligent hinting tool that teaches you what move to make next based on the moves you’ve already made. And after you complete each day’s Tango, you’ll be able to watch a solvethrough video directly from me, to help you learn new tips and tricks that you can use the next time you play.

You can play today’s Tango (Tango #1?— get that streak started!) in your mobile/desktop browser, as well as in our iOS and Android apps by clicking here . If you’re on an older version of our app, you may land on our games hub —?in which case you’ll need to update to the latest app on Android or iOS !?

More ways to spark conversations… are you smarter than a CEO?

What makes a LinkedIn game fun will never be about just the game itself —?it always be about the game and the conversation and banter that sparks afterwards. So in addition to gearing Tango up for launch, we’ve been hard at work building many of your most popular feature requests to make it even easier to start fun and meaningful conversations after playing.

Some new conversational features that you’ll see go live this month across not just Tango, but our entire LinkedIn games portfolio:

  • Achievements: After you play, you’ll be able to unlock achievements that show you how you stack up against others. To start, we’ll show you how you did vs. the global average, as well as if you’re in the top percentile vs. others in your network, company, or school. And, my favorite: we’ll also tell you if you were smarter than a CEO today (based on how your score fared vs. the average score of all CEOs who played today). It's a fun way to track your progress, compare your achievements, celebrate your wins — and of course?— earn some bragging rights!
  • Show off your game strategy: Now, the text that you share after each day’s play has much more than your score — we’ve evolved it to illustrate your actual solving path, while simultaneously avoiding spoilers. For Queens, we’ll show the first 3 colors you got. For Pinpoint, we’ll show how close each guess you made was to the real answer. For Crossclimb, we’ll show the order you filled the rungs in. For Tango, we’ll show the first five cells you placed. Each of these allows you to discuss strategy, tips, and tactics — a lot more than just your score!
  • Insights and streak milestones: We’ve heard you: you love your streak, and you want more insights. Now you’ll be able to see insights like your total # of plays, % of the time you've won, your best score, and your max streak. You’ll also unlock streak milestones on major days, like after a full month of winning.

New conversational features coming to all LinkedIn games this month

With these updates, we’re continuing to make our games not only a fun way to exercise your mind and prep for the workday, but also a powerful tool to foster camaraderie and strengthen relationships.?

I can't wait for what's next in our games journey. Until then, I’m kicking off today by playing Tango #1 —?and I hope you’ll join me: linkedin.com/games/tango ????.?

PS: You can find all of the LinkedIn games by visiting linkedin.com/games , the News module on the right side of desktop, the My Network tab in both desktop and mobile, and by tapping on your profile at the top left of the mobile app. If you don’t see Tango in those places, please update to the latest Android or iOS app!

For the game it never shows up in the linkedin games section with the other 3. I always have to access it through a search engine and never while on linkedin. On the home page it shows "Today's puzzles" but Tango isnt one of them.
