In April, I was in Berlin, where I had the pleasure of meeting Henry Donovan and Tolgay Azman, two incredibly passionate individuals.

It's amazing what can happen when like-minded people come together—new ideas spark and fresh opportunities are born!

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is a global pitch competition that provides entrepreneurs from over 200 countries a platform to compete for $1 million in cash prizes and additional support. Hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and Monsha’at, the competition offers mentorship, resources, and exposure to help participants at all stages—from idea to scale-up—advance their ventures.?

Entrepreneurship World Cup Highlights:

• Aim: To provide a global platform for entrepreneurs to compete for significant cash prizes, investments, and a chance to gain worldwide exposure. The competition fosters innovation across all stages of entrepreneurship and connects participants with valuable resources and mentorship.
• Sponsors: Co-hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and Monsha’at, supported by over 100 partners worldwide.
• Focus: Supports entrepreneurs from the idea stage to scale-up by providing world-class connections, resources, and mentorship opportunities.

• Prize Fund: US$1 million in cash prizes plus millions more in investments, support, and publicity.
• Selection Process: Involves national competitions, online bootcamps, and a global finals event. The process includes various stages of evaluation, culminating in the EWC Global Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• Award Ceremony: EWC Global Finals event in Riyadh, scheduled for early December 2024.
• Additional Opportunity: Finalists join the GEN Starters Club, offering a global network, ongoing mentorship, and support services.
