The Labour Market Outlook for Summer 2023 provides invaluable insights into the current state of the UK labour market:

1. Net Employment Balance: The balance remains stable at +28, signalling a consistent job market. A positive balance between employers expecting to increase staff levels and those expecting reductions, suggests that the employment landscape remains favourable for job seekers.
2. Expected Pay Rises: Particularly noteworthy is the public sector, where expected pay increases have reached a new peak. Rising from 3.3% in the last quarter to 4% this quarter.
3. Counteroffers: The past year has seen a surge in counteroffers made by employers. This trend highlights the competitive nature of the current job market and suggests that employers are going to greater lengths to retain valuable staff.?

??Another big congratulations goes to our Associate Director, Andrew Murkitt on getting married! Andy tied the knot on the 30th September, and we wish the new Mr and Mrs Murkitt a long and happy life together!?

?? As we mentioned earlier, Venture Recruitment Partners is celebrating its 10th anniversary on the 11th of October! We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, from our clients to our team members, finance professionals who embarked on their career journey with us, and our valued partners and suppliers!?
