Hello IT Kit + more ??
At Spoke I had the privilege to work on all sorts of high impact projects, from Officekit, outbound, launch, conferences, to IT Kit and plenty more. Seeing a company raise $28M has been eye opening. The founders are world class and they’ve built an impressive team around them.
Why leave, you might wonder. Well, I’m not really leaving.
Over the past 16 months I’ve realized:
- Taking ideas from zero to one is what gives me drive. The hard part is what comes after.
- I thrive when building communities around a story. Being authentic becomes harder the more I do this.
None of these are new to me, but confirmation of how I can best spend my time.
I have no doubt Spoke is going to go very far, which is why I’m excited to continue working with the company — in a different format.
One of my favorite Spoke projects has been building IT Kit from scratch. What started as a curated directory of IT tools, has evolved into a thriving community resource for IT leaders. From generating leads to forging partnerships, we’ve seen fantastic outcomes. Organizing the IT Kit Roadshow with Slack, Envoy and Fleetsmith in different cities has been a blast.
We recently launched an interview section and a job board on the site, with plenty more in the works. I’m excited to continue growing this project part time with Spoke. With the rest of my time, I’m going to focus on contracting and building out a few of my own ideas.
Look forward to catching up in San Francisco, New York and Tel Aviv over the next few months. Ping me if you’re around! Would love to hear what you’re working on. [email protected]
