Hello Hollywood! My new chapter at Google

After 9+ years (can you believe it?) leading Google Play's business and ecosystem activities in Greater China, I'm taking on a new role working on AI, with a focus on exploring the technology's transformative impact on media production, consumption and distribution.

The industry starts to have a glance at the power of AI in enhancing human creativity, generating new experiences and unprecedented opportunities. And this is only the beginning. We at Google are humbled by the 100+ years of accumulated creativity and wisdom from the artists, creators and visual story-tellers, and look forward to assisting you at the dawn of the next technology revolution, to reimagine the future and grow together.

For partners from the mobile apps & games ecosystem, I'm not far! With the boundary between different modes of entertainment and storytelling blurring, I'm fully expecting our paths to cross again, very soon. Thank you all for the partnership, support and friendship. We'll continue to explore and build together.

For friends already at the cutting edge of Generative AI, looking forward to this new capacity to learn and grow with you. With great power comes great responsibility (yet to see a chatbot coming up with something as powerful as Stan Lee's, right? ;) ). Be humbled by the opportunity in our hands, do good with this tremendously powerful tech and create value for EVERYONE in the ecosystem.

To my dear Greater China team, it's been the most memorable decade of my career and a true honor working with you all to build business from 0 to 1, and then to 10 (with a B), build culture, and most importantly build friendship. Being where you are, the world is super exciting, fast-paced, yet uncertain. I truly believe you are a special group of people on a mission, a mission beyond building billion-dollar businesses for Google and Google's partners. Don't lose that sense of mission when chasing the day-to-days. I'll root for you from the sideline as always.
