Hello from Einav - Commercial Consul

I am Einav, and I'm the newly appointed Commercial Consul, Head of Economic and Commercial Mission to Hong Kong. I'm very excited to say that I am officially on board!

About Myself

My first introduction to the East was during my undergraduate degree, when I participated in a student exchange program in the University of Singapore (NUS).?It was at that point that I fell in love with Asia and its culture. The desire to learn more about your fascinating culture, that combines East and West, has inspired me to continue exploring this market by participating in conferences and meeting delegates visiting Asia and Hong Kong in particular. I was excited to?learn about?the world’s most advanced financial system, the sophisticated healthcare?system, the excellent transportation system.

About Israel

While stepping into my new role, I would like to shed some light on my home-country, Israel, and to highlight what opportunities we can capitalize on together.

Israel is?a young country in the Middle East that lies along the Mediterranean Sea. Israel's population is roughly 9 million people. The majority of people are Jewish and there is also a significant Muslim population.

Israel is known as a “start-up nation”, as hundreds of new start-ups are founded every year. According to IVC Research Centre, around 700 new start-up companies were established in 2021, and so far, the numbers for 2022 are looking similar. Fintech, Life Science, Medical Devices, Automotive, PropTech, CleanTech, Water Technologies, AgriTech and Foodtech are among Israel's leading businesses.

Israelis are warm and welcoming and characterized by a “we can do it" spirit. Israelis usually think outside the box, are creative and flexible and it is these characteristics that contribute to Israelis success.

Future Cooperation

I am excited to lead?the Economic and Commercial Mission – to create synergies and mutual opportunities between the business communities in Hong Kong and Israel.???

Success stories were created in recent years, we will continue building new opportunities through various types of economic activities, such as: individual introductions, location seminars, international exhibitions, delegations visiting Israel, online webinars, etc.

It’s worth mentioning that during the difficult Covid pandemic Israel and Hong Kong managed to strengthen their business ties which tells me that there is nothing that we can’t accomplish together.?
