Hello From The Edges

Hello From The Edges

Over 24 months, we're going to some of the most remote, interesting and unusual scuba and freediving destinations on the planet. In each location, we're connecting with people who have dedicated their lives to ocean conservation and their communities.

Our newsfeeds are filled with doom & gloom, talking about our planet in decline. Very rarely do we get served the good news. That's why we've decided to take a different approach with our collaborative storytelling.

Of course, in our work we highlight critical ocean issues. But we also explain what is being done to reverse the damage. By focusing on the positives, we share how people and planet can successfully co-exist, as proven by the many we are meeting on every corner of the globe.

We've created this newsletter to share stories about our partners, as well as insights and experiences from the field from our perspective. Follow along as we share each chapter of our expedition, and show you what life is like—above and below water—when we venture to the edges of earth.

WHAT IS EDGES OF EARTH?

The Edges of Earth Expedition isn't just about journeying to remote, scuba-centric destinations. It represents an exploration philosophy.

For us, exploring the edges of earth is about being open-minded, staying curious and actively listening. It means seeking discoveries everywhere, delving into often overlooked spaces, and challenging the ordinary to reveal hidden worlds in and out of familiar landscapes.

It's about showing real interest in others: giving as much as possible to the places and people that we work with and highlighting the positives while exploring the world consciously. It's all about genuine stoke!

Exploration isn't about trying to capture the perfect shot, or about witnessing the most epic marine encounters on every dive. Our expedition is centered around the incredible people who call these places home—telling stories of the unsung legends of ocean conservation and restoration.

From the secluded islands of Vanuatu to the bustling city of Hong Kong, we are unearthing stories from the most special—and at times unexpected—places. We hope that our time in the field inspires you to explore, even if that means doing it in your own backyard!
