Things are changing; the days feel as though they’re getting longer and there’s the urge to get things in order for the new season… that’s right, we’re now in the first month of Spring! As we get ready to Spring clean our way into a new quarter, it’s a great opportunity to extend the Spring clean to your business and refine your advertising efforts.??

We’re specifically referring to design. Maybe you tried billboard advertising before and didn’t achieve the goals you were expecting – the design of your campaign could have been a factor.??

We held a brief Q&A with our Graphic Designer, Jason, who gave an insight into how to give your ads a good Spring clean to maximise impact.?

Q: What are some common mistakes you see in a billboard campaign design??

A: A common mistake is overcrowding the billboard with too much information or imagery which makes it harder for people to quickly grasp the message as they pass by. Also, including unnecessary details or too many elements can distract from the core message, diminishing the impact of the design.?

Q: How can businesses ‘Spring clean’ their ads and avoid these mistakes??

A: Businesses can simplify their designs by ensuring the main message is clear and easy to understand. A ‘less is more’ approach, focusing on key information, will help ensure the message is quickly grasped.?

Q: Can you give an example of a simple, clean yet effective ad you’ve seen? (I loved this ad because…)?
