Hello 2022!

One of the most fundamental keys to success, not only in business but also in life, is the ability to think and plan ahead for the long term. Sadly, this is an ability that we are losing in our constant chase for instant gratification. Fewer people are prepared to dig in and postpone rewards, do what is perhaps boring, tough and hard right now in order to reach something even better later on.

For this reason, I am immensely proud of the work we have been doing at Comintelli during the pandemic times to prepare ourselves for a brighter future, one that scales. Just like our Comintelli cheetah, Juba, we are being agile, flexible, adaptable and highly effective – patiently preparing for the right moment to strike. Here are just a few examples of that:

  • We established Comintelli Inc in the US during a global pandemic
  • We have partnered with some of the most respected intelligence and research firms, such as SVP Deutschland in Germany and Proactive Worldwide in the USA
  • We have built a measurable and scalable leads generation pipe that has quadrupled our leads
  • We have onboarded more new customers than ever before
  • We received top NPS scores from our customers
  • We have continuously launched new innovative product features, like the Field Intelligence Receiver that uses AI to report signals directly from people out in the market
  • We intensified the transition to a pure SaaS company by releasing a new AI-based Intelligence2day platform
  • We welcomed a new board member, Sofia Fogelfors, who will help us become even more user-focused

All of this is evidence that the company is, without a doubt, in a better place than we were in 2020. We want to give a huge thanks to all colleagues and partners for your massive contribution to this!?

In an increasingly uncertain world, the need for more systematic market and competitive intelligence is becoming more and more important.?

Businesses need competitive intelligence;

  1. to help them make more confident decisions about the future,?
  2. quickly organize and make sense of all the information out there
  3. to detect market signals early and future proof their businesses.


Gartner calls this decision intelligence which they have identified as one of the top strategic technology trends for 2022.

Some world-leading companies are already creating these types of insights portals to support decisions, as witnessed by for example AkzoNobel and Ericsson. And there are many more examples in the book I co-authored called “Gardens Of Intelligence”.?

My conclusion is that, despite working with CI every day, I still cannot foresee the future… But I can be optimistic that 2022 will be a year when we start reaping some fruits of what we started sowing in 2020.?

Congratulations to you Jesper and your Comintelli team across Europe and America! Reading your 2021 report made me think of CI is like sailing a boat - you have the weather forecasts, you can access depth charts and you have navigation aids. All this intelligence can help the pilot and his or her crew steer the boat to its destination (which can change along the route). CI is about managing risk and making sense of the world around us - both short and long term - as is steering the boat. Wishing you a speedy and safe voyage to ongoing success in 2022!
