Hello 2017

Hello 2017

Goodbye 2016 - Hello 2017! For many people 2016 has been a tough year. For me it was a roller-coaster of positives and negatives. I got married (positive), I lost clients (negative), gave classes in Digital Marketing for Food Business in Cork College of Commerce (positive) was out of action for almost two months due to injury (negative), started as trainer for Exel & Word (positive), didn't get funding I applied for (negative) and I didn't fulfill all my goals I set early in the year. All in all it was a balanced year but balance was not what I was after early in 2016.

I have cherished the positives and learned from the negatives. And only in the last two weeks of 2016 did I sit down and take note of the past year. We all get so caught up in the big picture that we forget the small goals - the steps that should lead us to the big one. Looking back, I can only blame myself. Things like: 'I can do that tomorrow' or 'I don't need to set targets, I know what I want' are utterly useless if you are trying to run a business and succeed. So, joining the new year I will do what I should have done every day of the past year - start afresh!

Do I have goals for 2017?? - You bet I have.

Best of luck in 2017 & congrats on your nuptials Elke!
