Amazon Announces 3D Images For Listings

There will no longer be 360 degree images for listings, as moving forward you will be able to upload 3D images that will have a similar effect and allow buyers to view the product in their room and do other augmented reality things in some situations. You might think that it will be hard for you to create 3D images if you don't have any. Don't worry, Amazon is coming out with a tool that will allow you to create the 3D images by using your smart phone!

Amazon Black Friday Results

Amazon announced in a press release that customers worldwide from November 17 through the 27th ordered over one BILLION products with shoppers saving 70% more compared to the same time period last year. They also mentioned that over 500 million products were sold by third party sellers. How was your Black Friday and Cyber Monday? I heard many say that Cyber Monday actually outpeformed Black Friday for them!

Shopify Black Friday Results

Shopify also put out a release on its Black Friday stats. For that day, they reported a record 4.1 billion dollars in sales, which represented a 22% increase Year over Year! Their average cart price was probably something Amazon sellers would love to have...$110! Do you have a Shopify store? How much did you sell compared to on Amazon?

Amazon Unboxed 2024 Announced

We just recently had a great Amazon Unboxed last month in New York, where the conference has been the last two years. Next year, Amazon announced on Linkedin, it will be moving to.....Austin, TX! The dates will be October 14-16, 2024, so make sure to mark your calendars!

Amazon Transparency Update

Did the requirement for having to use Amazon serial numbers stop you from enrolling in Transparency before? You will now be able to use your own existing serial numbers moving forward. Amazon announced that if you serialize your products, you can now:

• Ensure accurate and authentic units are shipped to customers. Products enrolled in Transparency can’t be listed in Amazon’s store or shipped to customers without valid codes.
• Simplify packaging. Improve the appearance and clarity of your product packaging by using existing QR, 1D, or 2D serial numbers, instead of adding Transparency codes.
• Enroll easily. Enable protection in as little as two weeks using your existing serial numbers.

Walmart Moving Production to India from China

Reuters had an interesting article about how Walmart is shifting a lot of their own products' productions to India from Walmart. How much? In 2018, only 2% of their products were made in India, while 80% were made in China. Today, a whopping 25% of their products are made in India, while made in China went down to 60%.

I'm about to launch my first product next week that was made in India. I know many are also manufacturing in Pakistan, Vietnam, and other countries. What about you?

Training Tip Of The Week

Do you ever want to know what are the most searched terms on Amazon that start with a word or phrase? Like maybe I want to see what are the top 10 most seached keywords that start with "coffin." Using the Amazon autocomplete will not give you the top searched terms, but theres a way you can do that in seconds WITHOUT even having to click anything! In this clip, Carrie Miller shows you how.
