Heirloom Quilt Evaluation Day at Harriton House
Laura J. Carpenter Myers
Executive Director of The Harriton Association/Harriton House
We still have room available for Sunday's (1/20) Heirloom Quilt Evaluation Day.
Do you have a quilt tucked away you would like to know more about? Possibly a family heirloom or a piece picked up at a sale? Come to Harriton House and spend 20 minutes with a quilt historian and our executive director to learn what they can tell you about your treasure. Evaluation days are schedule-based discovery sessions focused on your piece, where you can ask questions about care, restoration, age, textiles, and more about your quilt, general quilt history, and more. No value or acquisition will be discussed during the evaluation. Fee per 20 minute session is $25.00 which benefits Harriton House. Tickets available through Harriton's Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1041460946727?aff=oddtdtcreator
Due to the limited number of sessions, we ask that you limit reservations to one per person. Each session will cover one quilt, review of additional quilts is at the discretion of our expert and depends on time. More than one person and up to 3 people may attend your session. You will go home with a written evaluation sheet about your quilt with as much detail as can be determined during the examination.
