?? New York-headquartered multi-strategy hedge fund firm Walleye Capital has closed its Houston office, with Jim Rowe, Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Director leaving the business. The firm also cut about a dozen positions mainly in its investment team, including PMs Lawrence Hurvich and Jerry Siliverdes as well as Senior Portfolio Manager Michael Martin, who served as Head of Equity Capital Markets. ?? $550m — Vista Equity Partners has told investors that it has decided to wind down its hedge fund, Vista Public Strategies Fund, along with feeder funds Vista Public Strategies Onshore Fund and Vista Public Strategies Offshore, due to a significant “structural shift” in markets favouring private assets.
