Jain Global adds former Citadel PM
Jain Global, the hedge fund founded by former Credit Suisse trader Bobby Jain, has strengthened its team with the addition of Anthony Davis, a former Citadel portfolio manager specializing in convertible bond trading, according to eFinancial Careers.
Davis, who previously worked at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, was initially expected to launch his own fund after leaving Citadel last summer. Reports suggested he was in the early stages of setting up his own firm, but he has instead chosen to join Jain Global, which has been expanding since its launch in July 2023.
The firm initially grew rapidly, increasing its portfolio manager count from 42 to 50 last year. However, hiring has slowed recently, with Davis being one of the few high-profile additions in 2025, alongside Nicholas Massaro from BlueCrest.
Jain Global posted a 1% return in January.
Dymon Asia Partner swaps Singapore for senior Dubai role
Cyril Brudy, a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at hedge fund Dymon Asia, is relocating from Singapore to the firm’s Dubai office as part of its efforts to strengthen operations in the emirate, according to Financial News.
Citing unnamed sources, the report states that Brudy will assume the role of Senior Executive Officer at Dymon Asia’s office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Brudy joined Dymon Asia in 2015 from BlueCrest Capital, where he was a Portfolio Manager. Before that, he spent nearly four years as a Director at Deutsche Bank in Singapore, overseeing a proprietary trading desk.
BoA’s Head of Hedge Fund Sales Trading jumps ship to Clear Street
Malcolm Pratt, Head of Hedge Fund Sales Trading in Europe at Bank of America, has resigned to join Clear Street, a rapidly growing independent prime broker that launched its UK operations in December, according to eFinancial Careers.
Pratt, who joined Bank of America from Goldman Sachs in 2017, played a key role in the firm’s hedge fund sales efforts. While his exact role at Clear Street has not been officially confirmed, he is expected to help build out its execution business.
His move is part of a broader expansion at Clear Street, which was valued at $2 billion following a funding round two years ago. Earlier this month, the firm also hired Matthew Cyzer, former Co-Head of European Equity Execution Services at Goldman Sachs, as Global Head of Markets for Europe. Given their overlapping tenure at Goldman, Pratt is likely to join Cyzer’s team, with more hires expected as Clear Street continues to grow its European presence.
