Heaven ... The Ultimate Return on Investment

Now that this glorious picture of Haleakala at Sunrise has captured your imagination ... and I have your rapt attention ... lol ... please take a few moments and let me share my thoughts on the ultimate ROI:

Haven't most of us been asked, over the course of our careers, what our plans for the future were.  Recruiters, HR Professionals, and Senior Management would probe us for the 'end vision' of our career ... but in most cases ironically ... not our lives. As if one really could exist without the other. There was the one year plan ... the five year plan ... and so forth and so on. Emphasis was placed on advancement, success, wealth and all of the beautiful amenities this world provides. 

The objective was to seek and hire individuals enabling the corporate plan, while allowing us to achieve the opportunities we were seeking. In other words to basically see what motivated us and if there was a good 'fit'. This is not meant as a complaint but rather an observation. As someone who has gone through this process himself many times over it makes sense. 

The only issue, in my humble opinion, is the process didn't cover the main objective we should be seeking before, during, and after, achieving those goals.  How do we better integrate knowing, loving, and serving God in this world with our business and career aspirations ... and being happy with him forever in the next. The Eternal Plan!

Realizing this is a Social Business Network you may ask why am I making this point. Is it politically correct? Have boundaries been crossed that shouldn't be? Good questions. Hopefully nobody will be too upset. Many people in this world are skeptics about the hereafter ... but business people on the other hand ... deal in what makes good common sense and how they can achieve a great return on their investment. 

If wealth, fame, and prosperity end at the grave ... than where is the true ROI. If, on the other hand, we integrate the end vision of Heaven into ours and others daily lives and career objectives we will achieve both goals ... and everyone will be much happier in the process.

The formula outlined above helped our team, and myself, achieve the career, advancement, and financial objectives that we mutually agreed upon. Our clients realized their business objectives and were very satisfied and pleased. Everyone walked away happy. As a result I have been blessed to achieve all of my career and financial goals. My intent now is to share with others what has been shared with me.

During this time of Lent and Easter let us all please look forward eagerly to the gift of His Resurrection Power on Easter Sunday ... and allow Jesus to drive our careers and lives. We will all be much better off.
