Heaven On Earth

Just because we can see what is in our presence, does not mean that is all there is to see. The grains of sand, only God knows the exact number, man cannot even begins to grasp that great mystery. The stars in the sky, no humans know that either. When certain things happen to us individually or collectively, like ?the recent health crisis' that has taken place over the last several years, the only thing that changed was us as a people.

Some prayed, some cried, more than enough people got sick and recovered, while many died. The entire world changed quickly, almost overnight. Our circumstances changed to the degree of wearing face masks, helping those in need financially, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. The only person or deity that did not change through all of this is God Himself. The reality we have before us is Jesus Christ; He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8; 1:8-12.

For all we see and hear in the world today, from the goodness of those in heart, who choose to share their time, talents, and treasures with others, and to many who are deceitful and scammers causing harm and evil upon evil; there is still more kindness in the world because grace abounds around all of us. I'd rather live a life always in the presence of the Lord, rather than going through life's up and downs without Him.

There are more than enough promises in the Bible about God's presence in our lives. Besides the promises in the word of God, there are generous people with sincere hearts; who has made the world a better place to live in. Generosity and showing compassion and helping those in need are examples of demonstrating heaven on earth. Are you representing love, peace and hope in your own life to be a blessing to others? Back in 1974 the R&B/Soul group the Ohio Players from Dayton, Ohio had a song from their Skin Tight album titled "Heaven Must Be Like This" the Players had their own brand of jazz and funk.

The lyrical content with this song was of one being with that special love in your life. Their description of heaven to say the least was intriguing for someone whose not familiar with what the Bible teaching about the scenery in heaven Revelation 21:10-27. Each of our lives should be lived in such a way that we represent ?a place of peace, love and beauty according to the scriptures.
