Ever wonder what really catches your consumers' attention when they set eyes on your product packaging or designs? Well, meet your new best friend: Heat Mapping.

What is Heat Mapping anyway?

Heatmaps are visual representations of respondents' opinions, preferences, and behaviors. We ask respondents to look at an image and click on the parts that invoke certain reactions for them. The hotspots are then shown in bright colors on the map, giving a clear view of what people like, don't like and didn't notice about the picture.

So, basically a visual X-ray for your creatives:

Red = Most Focus (hello, eyeballs!)

Yellow/Green = Secondary Focus (Not exactly popping but is getting some attention)

No Colour = No immediate notice (uh-oh, they’re missing this spot)

Why Heat Mapping is a Game-Changer

Heatmaps are a great way to understand people's opinions about images associated with your research. Instead of asking them to talk about what they like or don't like, you can just have them click on the parts of the ad, product design, or concept they find interesting.
