“Hearty laughter is a good way to jog internally without having to go outdoors.” Norman Cousins
This fits in the current circumstance like never before, Pre-pandemic social interactions were very different, we used to hang out with colleagues, friends anytime over lunch or dinner, today that liberty is no more… However, we still can find a way to do it virtually and seamlessly forever.
Voluntary participation - laugh with friends
Schedule a weekly virtual call and have a similar kind of interaction that we were used to… that makes us laugh and it still works yet more beneficial than having to wait for friends/colleagues to join across the city traffic and chaos to start the celebration. more so now everyone is available all the time virtually no more excuse (with some exception)
Involuntary and yet reasonable
Although it's rare to laugh over the same digital content, again and again, however Comedy genre movies, web series, jokes - help us getting into the laughter mode is also good conditioning. Sharing digital laughs while on social media at every possible opportunity is also a good practice that breaks the monotony of thoughts we are in, which can cause us to barge in giggling sometimes.

4 年Well addressed Prashant... While psychologists are still doing research on laughter and its many health benefits, we really don’t need to be experts to realize what a good laugh does to our overall mood. Laughing is literally the cheapest form of therapy and by far the most pleasant one. It has the power to heal not only your soul, but also your body. Well conferred !

4 年Prashant Bhosale, I strongly agree on your point. I remember couple of months ago in the workspace we use to talk on Fridays about "What will be the weekend plan" (Best topic of Friday ??) But as a new normal now we all have to change thinking and mindset to a digital meet for the same fun and laughter. Liked your articles. ????
